2. Excavation and base preparation
After the area is marked, excavation is completed according to the dimensions of the selected model. The bottom is then leveled and the support base is prepared, ensuring proper support for the pool and long-term installation stability.
3. Pool positioning
The pool is set on the prepared base and adjusted for correct positioning and leveling. Before backfilling and water fill begin, the technical team completes all checks needed to confirm the pool is properly placed and ready for the next step.
4. Leveling and Backfilling
After positioning, side backfill begins using a traditional sand-and-cement mix or fine gravel, according to Fiber technical standards.
During this stage, the crew pays special attention to fully filling under benches, steps, tanning ledges, and spas, ensuring uniform support throughout the structure and eliminating voids. That support is essential so the pool performs as designed, distributing loads properly throughout its service life.
Backfill is done gradually and at the same time as the pool is filled with water, balancing internal and external pressures throughout installation.
5. Pool Plumbing Installation
In this stage, the pool’s plumbing connections are completed — including drains, returns, suction, and skimmer — according to the Fiber technical design and applicable standards for pool circulation and filtration systems.
Each fitting is installed in the position defined by the project, ensuring hydraulic performance, easy maintenance, and safe system operation.
The Fiber hydraulic design promotes water circulation throughout the entire pool, moving flow from end to end and reducing low-circulation areas. That improves filtration efficiency, better distributes treatment products, and helps keep water healthier for daily use.
6. Simultaneous filling and compaction
After plumbing is complete, filling the pool with water and side backfilling with sand-and-cement mix or fine gravel are done together, gradually.
This procedure keeps internal and external pressures balanced, allowing the structure to perform as designed throughout installation.
The crew continuously monitors water level and side backfill so both advance together until the pool is fully stabilized.
7. Final Grading and Finish Preparation
With the pool stabilized and fully supported, a sub-base is prepared to receive the final surface — stone, decking, pavers, or another finish planned in the project. This stage sets proper drainage around the pool and protects the full installation structure.
After pool installation is complete, final surround finishing should be done as soon as possible. The finished surface helps keep rainwater and pool use from shifting support material, preserving structural stability.
